  • Mittal v/s Mittal

There have been many films made on rape and sexual violence. Most of them hope that depiction of violence will help to titillate the audience. Mittal Vs Mittal also sets out with this objective but the audience is more likely to get repulsed than titillated.

  • Mirzya

Neither this intense-because-we-say-it-is romance running through the film or the soft-focus-myth is actually interesting, and -- shorn of love, or moments -- Mehra's film begins to grate quite early on.

  • Mickey Virus

  • Marjaavaan

Nothing can salvage the Marjaavaan mess -- not religious symbols tattooed on Malhotra's knuckles, the two-and-a-half hours of hysterically hamming people, the boisterous background score, the stale imagination, the burly giants, the phony rain, the cheap blood, the microwave romance, the laboured hostility, the incessant babbling on mohabbat and ibadat, not Arjit Singh yowling in a loop.

  • Mardaani

If only the script weighed more in intensity of thoughts than stagy heroics and simplistic resolutions, it could do a lot more for women in the film industry if not society in general.
