Pad Man
If you can endure the slow, unmoving first half, this film is socially relevant.

One Night Stand
That Sunny Leone has a great body is a given. But to make her do the sati-savirti, mom, homemaker is a stretch.

One Day
This is no whodunit, not even why-he-dun-it. It's a straightforward story laughably told. The usually reliable character actors are made to ham so much they seem to be competing for the Razzies.

Omerta
The staccato storytelling style and the constant shift between past and present is distracting at best. Unfortunately there is no emotional takeaway from the story, so you watch the stabbings and the kidnappings wondering 'what was that?'

Ok Jaanu
You get so tired of the dialog you wonder why the Tamil version directed by Mani Ratnam was not such a bore to watch. Then you realise that in staying true to the original, there are pauses and silences induced because Dulquer Salman and Nithya Menen have far better screen presence and acting chops than Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor.

Notebook
It's an official remake of Nicholas Sparks' romance made by Hollywood a while ago. Except this is set in Kashmir and hence stunning. Plus the newcomers are not bad at all, and the kids are the sweetest.

Noor
Noor, played by Sonakshi Sinha with all the earnestness she can muster, but the script is so badly researched, so superficial, it gives journalists a bad name.

The film is beautifully made and keeps the drama alive in the first half and then loses steam in the second half and ends on a high emotional note.

Nanu Ki Jaanu
Let's just dump this film into the vault of ignominy where it belongs after asking this question, 'Why Abhay Deol, why?'

Naam Shabana
...the story is a tad too obvious, but the action sequences redeem the film.

My Birthday Song
It's a great attempt. But the film had a long way to go on script level before it became awesome.

A delicate subject rather well tackled despite several rather convenient events in the film.

Mukti Bhawan
Watch this life affirming film about death because the cast is great, the humor is omnipresent and you will come away with your heart in your hand and tears in your eyes.

Mukkabaaz
...puts its fist in many pies: boxing, romance, caste wars, defiance and revenge. Anurag Kashyap brings alive small town Uttar Pradesh brilliantly. But the fist through so many pies laced with too many songs becomes a feast too difficult to digest.

...is so loud, you need ear muffs but quite funny because there is a natural chemistry between the actors Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ratna Pathak Shah and Pavan Malhotra.

Mr. Kabaadi
There's not a single frame that makes you think this film could have been redeemed, or that it is a fitting finale film for Om Puri, who is no more.

Mona Darling
A good start to a horror film, but it slowly falls into cliches and is unable to recover. Bollywood has never made worthy to be slotted as 'Horror' but this one makes an effort.

...is just about okay. If you wish to escape the summer heat outside or are seeking help in falling asleep, this film is a great option. However, you'll come away loving Parineeti Chopra's performance.
