  • Kaamyaab

The screenplay is insightful, if not blindingly revelatory. And some of the directorial sleights are commendably in tune with the demands of the material...

  • Kaalakaandi

...may not be for all palates, but the film has enough spice for those in the mood for an off-the-beaten-track Bollywood experience.

  • Kaagaz

The lead actor has to carry the weight of the entire film on his shoulders. He does so gamely, occasionally allowing his usual understated style to make way for a more demonstrative mode of acting.

  • Kaabil

Hrithik Roshan delivers a convincing enough performance as a man who cannot see. Kaabil is paisa vasool fare, if not more.

  • Junooniyat

It isn’t that the pursuit of cloying sentimentality does not sometimes yield pleasantly surprising results. But don’t expect any such miracle from Junooniyat.

  • Junglee

It would of course be too much to expect subtlety and other niceties from a turgid movie that cannot even do justice to the pack of pachyderms that it employs in order to acquire heft.

  • Jugni

What the beautifully nuanced Jugni film has is a meaningful, if somewhat thin, plot peopled with eminently relatable characters.

  • Judwaa 2

...might work for those that don't mind being sold old trash in a new, garishly painted sack. For all others, it would be akin to being strapped to a seat in a torture chamber.

  • Judgemental Hai Kya

What is commendable is that Judgementall Hai Kya delivers the message without turning preachy or self-conscious. The breezy flow of the narrative, which isn't broken until parts of the second half begin to seem a tad indulgent, ensures that we are invested in the plight of the characters all the way through.

  • Jolly LLB 2

...does well not to take itself too seriously. It has the feel of a good-natured banter between friends rather than that of an inflated inquest conducted from a pedestal. Scintillating? No. Enjoyable? Absolutely.

  • Jolly L.L.B.

...has its heart in the right place. And it’s a heart that is backed by a ticking mind and a responsive conscience.

  • Joker

...is a crude joke of a film that will leave you in tears unless you have a stomach strong enough to digest such unmitigated junk.

  • Jism - 2

This film is designed to be Sunny Leone’s ticket to a place in the Bollywood sun, but it isn’t quite love-all in her favour. Yet, Jism 2 has enough soul not be swamped by a curvaceous body. It is more than just another 'booby' trap of a film.

  • Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai

... is this a film? Not by a long shot. Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai is more an endurance test, a lumbering mess that wanders all over the place both literally and figuratively, hobbling along in no particular direction.

  • Jalebi

...undermined considerably by the erratic quality of the acting from a cast led by two first-timers, Varun Mitra and Digangana Suryavanshi, and a still-raw Rhea Chakraborty.

  • Jagga Jasoos

If Jagga Jasoos, for all its deviations, passes muster, it is largely due to a pivotal star turn that is worth its weight in gold and the heartily surreal touches that Basu imparts to this colourful, imaginative fantasy.

  • Jabariya Jodi

...a film that appears to have been made under duress by a group of people playing blind man's buff, is a big splotch of utter nonsense.

  • Jab Tak Hai Jaan

Watch Jab Tak Hai Jaan not just for the obvious sentimental reason but for the fact that it shows, for one last time, what Bollywood will miss now that the undisputed master of romantic sagas is no more.

  • Jab Harry Met Sejal

...is cinema's equivalent of a shiny bauble that glitters wholly in vain. Watch it only if you fancy a vicarious romp through Europe with an off-colour megastar trying hard to get going.

  • Island City

Laced with sly wit and captivating storytelling feints, Island City touches heights that Hindi films do only once in a blue moon. It is absolutely unmissable.

  • Ishaqzaade

If only Arjun Kapoor's dialogue delivery had greater punch and Parineeti Chopra could pull off the emotional moments without going shrill, Ishaqzaade would have been a markedly better film.

  • Inkaar

For a film that is remarkable in many significant ways, it ultimately disappoints because, despite showing the nerve to deal squarely with a demanding subject, it eventually chickens out of the prospect of going the whole distance to a coherent and radical conclusion.
