  • Khandaani Shafakhana

It’s like building a crescendo effect with all ingredients in place and allowing all elements to peter out. The end result is that it gets funny and sweet in spots, though the light moments get lost in the haze of imitation and lack of any ambition.

  • Raag Desh

...is an average film with an untold factual story. The film could have been much better plus in the era of commercial films, Raag Desh is a niche in its own genre.

  • Panipat

Directors like Gowariker do no service to the nation or their audience by twisting the truth, ignoring military, diplomatic, common sense follies and rewriting history with jingoistic fervour. They condemn us to repeat historical wrongs.

  • Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

The scenic invariably overpowers the cynic in Karan Johar’s cinema. He loves the good things in life and dislikes the thought of the makeup being washed by tears of desolation.

  • Dum Laga Ke Haisha

The film does not offer as much comedy as it promises in the promo, but does manage to engage your senses for most part. After a point though, the plot loses momentum and becomes a bit of a drag.

  • Kill Dil

  • Naam Shabana

The film could have been better paced, all thanks to the under-cooked narrative. Naam Shabana is a throw away effort from director Shivam Nair and producer Neeraj Pandey, where the only saving grace is Taapsee’s act.

  • Fukrey

Lucklessly, none of the four overgrown boys of 'Fukrey' out here arouse your empathy or curiosity. In fact, they’re as irritating as monsoon mosquitoes.

  • Miss Lovely

The titillation sought to be vended in Ashim Aluhwalia’s 'Miss Lovely' is strictly of the smirk-smirk variety, suffused with abstractions, cynicism and distractions, great for the international film festival circuit but so off-the-mark and shallow for anyone who has had a smidgen of interest in the C-graders of yore...

  • Kedarnath

...does have some genuinely likable moments but when the monotony of the drama gets exposed, the film's pace breaks down and the entertainment level drops.
