While the film is shot beautifully, its the story that falls flat mainly because it is packed with too much randomness in the name of art and intensity.

  • Hero

He has co-written the film’s screenplay and that’s where the film’s first major problem sits. The second is his direction.

  • Raman Raghav 2.0

...director Anurag Kashyap tries hard to impress by showing a blood bath and scary facial expressions of psychopath Raman, but it is disheartening to see the film with no purpose.

  • Daas Dev

Sudhir definitely gives it a contemporary spin off but it is hard to fathom the build up in the narrative unlike the quirk of DEV. D. The pace tries to elevate but falls flat even before the interval and refuses to come back till the end credits.

  • Hawaa Hawaai

When the story is predictable, a tight script and screenplay needs to take charge. Sadly, it doesn’t. The film’s undoing is the expectations it rides on. This one fails to be an Amole Gupte film.

...the film gives a few thrills and chills that a horror film does, with its eerie background score and more often the impression of an ambush lurking in the crannies. There are however slip-ups that defy logic and continuity of script.

Do yourself a favour then: see Talaash only if you believe that Aamir Khan can do no wrong. Otherwise you’ll be left with a sinking feeling.

  • Raees

If you are seeking a plot with enough twists then you will be disappointed. It’s just the run-of-the-mill ‘chor-police’ chase, which you must have seen infinite times in the past.

  • Ishq Forever

Even after mentioning few good things about the film, ‘Ishq Forever’ fails to create an impact and even lacks the emotions one would normally connect with.

  • PM Narendra Modi

Given how obsessed we are with politics, we deserve better films about the topic. Sadly, Bollywood has never been great with political cinema. And this film doesn't change that notion.

  • Parmanu

Yes, you can base a film on a true event and then fictionalise parts of it. But it is jarring to see a story that is muddled with way too many obvious tension-building fabrications to suggest that the impossible mission was no mean task.

  • Saaho

...given the film’s tortuous, tangled plot involving compromised cops, many fake identities, umpteen car chases and dreary duels involving burly goondas of various ethnicities from East Europe and Africa, what stays with you is a sense of exhaustion, like after a long, wasted day.
