  • Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola

...Bhardwaj tells the story in a style that comes close to burlesque – wacky, entertaining, and over-the-top. However, something is missing – the storytelling doesn’t bolster the concerns in the movie the way it should, and it goes downhill after the interval.

  • Mardaani 2

...a sharply-plotted script with some gasp-inducing mini twists. But the moment lead actor Rani Mukerji takes centre stage, it all feels too easy.

  • Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota

...director Vasan Bala retreats to that primal feeling of fantasy, and performs a touching reversal: he stacks up the imaginary outtakes of his own childhood and returns them to where they belong — in a movie.

  • Manto

It makes brave pronouncements on artistic freedom, religious violence and abject nationalism without losing sight of its investigative rigour— the film illustrates; it does not preach. Such mindfulness is often absent in our cinema, a medium so susceptible to rage, but Manto stands apart as a poignant exception.

  • Manjhi

The story of Dashrath Manjhi must not be forgotten but let us please also ensure that the cinema that milks the lives of our unsung heroes, also gives something back to the milieu it takes its box office heft from.

  • Malang

Remove the stylised layers, foot-tapping music, Greek God-like leads, and the crisp runtime, and most of Mohit Suri’s films are essentially explorations of toxic masculinity. Malang is no different. It ticks all the boxes in the Mohit Suri-checklist, but does little else.

  • Malaal

The film is constantly aiming for a large-canvas treatment, often at the expense of local colour and depth. Only because it can.

And, because this is ultimately a launch film.

  • Machine

There is bad. There is awful. And then there is a film where your eyeballs are behind your eyebrows threatening to launch from top of your head like it's Cape Canaveral.

  • Laal Kaptaan

...crucial balance between gravitas and fun is woefully amiss in Navdeep’s latest work, a galloping period western, weighed down by its broad historical sweep and dreary philosophizing.

  • Krrish 3

Rakesh Roshan combines the breathtaking SFX with a high level of emotion and drama. The result is quite often exhilarating and spectacular.

  • Krrish 3

Hrithik Roshan’s 'Kites' may make his fans very happy by the way he has been presented in the film but those looking out for a never seen been before experience that was promised through its mega marketing blitzkrieg will be in for a small disappointment.

  • Khandaani Shafakhana

Shilpi’s debut effort is well-intentioned but suffers from the same hypocrisies that afflict Indian drawing rooms. Not a line of dialogue sticks and there are very few talking points in this film on sex talk...
