It's well-intentioned, has its heart in the right place, and it's an engaging enough watch. But it never rises above that to become a film that could truly make a difference.

...isn't a particularly bad film; it's just not a good film either. It's the kind of film that keeps you waiting for something to happen, but nothing ever does. There's no element of surprise or unpredictability in its screenplay...

  • Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3

It's underwhelming both in its raunchiness and its level of humor – frankly, I've read jokes forwarded on Whatsapp that are more naughty than anything in this film.

The film is ambitious but flawed. It is, however, consistently watchable for its terrific lead star who you can't take your eyes off, even for a moment.

Kick will no doubt break box-office records and earn many many crores for its makers and for its leading man, but it's a shame he must settle for just this.

...with its pedestrian humour, inane plot, and hammy performances, begs the question: haven't we had enough? How many more times will charismatic actors help stupid films get made?

  • Khichdi

If you're not a fan of the long-running sitcom and unfamiliar with its cheerfully dim-witted characters, there's a slim chance you're going to appreciate the juvenile humor...

...is well-intentioned but bloated. It’s a two-and-a-half hour battlefield bluster that could have done with sharper writing and judicious editing. When the lights come back on in the end, you can’t shake off the feeling of having survived war yourself.

...ultimately falls short of living up to its promise, but I was happy to visit its world. The imagery is overwhelming, even if the writing feels laboured.
