  • Noor

Although handsomely mounted and evocatively shot, Noor lacks a sense of genuine urgency. The protagonist’s journey from flaky to fully reformed is never convincing...

  • NH10

What 'NH10' gets bang on is the milieu: the atmospherics, the language, and the tension that creeps up on you that you can't shake off. The performances too complement the storytelling.

  • Naam Shabana

The problem at the root of this film is that it literally offers nothing new, other than the idea of a woman who knows her way around a fight. The plot is predictable from the word go, and yet it unfolds over an excruciating two-and-a-half hours.

  • My Name is Khan

The film shamelessly tugs at your heartstrings and on more than one occasion wallops you to weep. Aided by solid camerawork, tight editing and a layered story, Johar crafts an engaging, stirring saga that is earnest and noble. With this message movie in the mainstream format, the director takes a step in the right direction.

  • Mukti Bhawan

Beautifully shot and although languidly paced, Bhutiani delivers an evocative drama that has surely got to be one the best films you’ll see this year.

  • Mukkabaaz

...its narrative stretched by way too many background songs, and an inevitable sense of repetition and wallowing in the protagonist’s misery. Yet it might be Kashyap’s most accessible film since Gangs of Wasseypur, and his only crime here may be one of overreaching.

  • Mr. X

...a singularly humorless film that's sorely lacking in thrills, a coherent plot, and even basic common sense.

  • Mr Joe B. Carvalho

You might consider knocking back a few before heading out to watch Mr Joe B Carvalho, the sort of misguided madcap comedy that can only be endured in a state of semi-intoxication.

  • Mom

...is a far from perfect film, but it’s never boring. Sridevi’s terrific turn makes up for many of the script problems.

  • Moh Maya Money

The actors make the most of the material, which is frankly compelling for a good part of this film. The tragedy, alas, is that it could have been so much more.

  • Miss Lovely

...it's an unconventional watch, yes, but it's also refreshing to see a different kind of Indian cinema make its place in the world.

  • Mirzya

There’s a lot to admire in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya, but coherent narrative and compelling characters are not among its strengths.

  • Milenge Milenge

The problem with this film is that it's lacking in basic logic, and that its characters are complete stereotypes. Add to that the fact that Kaushik's treatment is extremely outdated even for a film that was meant to be released five years ago.

  • Meri Pyaari Bindu

There are moments and sequences in the film that are moving and funny and quietly heartbreaking. But those are few in an overlong film that never quite finds its groove.
