  • Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety

...has a strange kind of earnestness in its juvenile ambitions. I was uncomfortable with its decidedly women-bashing stand, but I enjoyed the film’s silly, relentless humor.

  • Singham Returns

...feels long and occasionally plodding. There are some nice scenes that inspire police pride, but the predictable story tires you out eventually.

  • Singham

...isn't an unwatchable film, but how many times can you watch bad guys being whipped with a belt? Or heads being pummeled by a bare fist? There is such a thing as overkill, after all.

  • Simran

There’s ample meat in the story, yet the writing itself is weak. The film’s second half feels particularly sloppy, and don’t even get me started on the caricaturish villains. But it’s a testament to Kangana’s full-blooded performance that Simran works despite these complaints.

  • Shuddh Desi Romance

reinvents the wheel as far as Bollywood rom-coms go. It's aggressively non-formulaic, and gives us characters who refuse to conform. The minor hiccups notwithstanding, this is a charming little film.

...is basically Taken with a big helping of melodrama, and a lot of talking. A LOT of talking. Way too much talking.

  • Shaitan

It isn't as daring as Anurag Kashyap's debut 'Paanch' whose themes it clearly mirrors, but it's got many moments that'll surprise you.

  • Shahid

The film itself is brave and unflinching, and oozes the kind of sincerity that you long for in most Hindi films.

  • Shaapit

Horror films are meant to get your heart racing pumping. At the end of this film, you'll have to check for your pulse.

  • Satyagraha

Sadly, the director's storytelling has become so hackneyed that his cinema now merely pays lip service to issues instead of making a stronger comment.

  • Satya 2

...is not so much an engaging film as it is an interesting idea that Varma squanders away with a hackneyed script, and an ensemble of over-actors.

  • Sarkar 3

...is an improvement on many of Varma’s recent films, which, quite frankly, were unwatchable to say the least. Yet it’s steeped in familiarity and an overwhelming sense of repetition and pointlessness.

  • Sanju

It’s a consistently engaging film that makes its way to your heart even though the head frequently resists.
