  • Satya 2

There is absolute disregard for coming up with anything intelligent in this film which is supposed to be a crime thriller. Amateur writing, tacky sets, indifferent acting, cacophonous background score and anything random goes in Satya 2.

  • Sarkar 3

The first half is engaging enough, but loses its way post the interval. There are loose ends which are never tied, and by the time the climax comes, you have pretty much figured out how it is going to end.

  • Sarbjit

The blame lies largely in the script which doesn't leave much for its actors to do other than excessively cry or scream or otherwise sit sulking.

  • Sanju

Given the kind of biopics we have seen in commercial mainstream Bollywood so far, Sanju has definitely raised the bar. Watch Sanju for Ranbir Kapoor, Rajkumar Hirani, the laughs, the tears... in a nutshell, everything.

  • Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3

The Saheb Biwi aur Gangster movies have thrived on the combination of sex, power, lies and backstabbing but this time around Dhulia is low on ideas, humour and most importantly a compelling narrative.

  • Saand Ki Aankh

...is a pleasant family watch for the Diwali weekend. Take your main women along. If possible, add your khadoos taus and uncles of your family to that list, to show them the mirror in an indirect way.

  • Saala Khadoos

It is largely due to the sheer brilliance of Madhavan and Ritika's work that Saala Khadoos is saved from falling into the abyss of predictability, which it dangerously teeters on the edge of.

  • Saaho

...the makers got so carried away with crafting action scenes and Prabhas's starry presence that they forgot about the story and character development midway.

  • Running Shaadi

...on paper seems trite, but it is consistently engaging because newer and wilder plot developments get thrown at you and you cannot help but continue to run with its characters to find out what eventually becomes of them.

  • Rocket Singh

...not one that says "look at me, I am making a statement to change the world". But a quiet and subtle appreciation of the life we've been given and what we can do with it.

  • Roar: Tigers Of The Sundarbans

While it is commendable and also daring on Sadanah and Rizvi's part to set and shoot a film in the Sundarbans, one wishes they'd invested as much time in developing an engaging story as they did on the visual effects.

  • Red Alert

...the movie suffers from the same problem that all Bollywood films on controversial subjects do--how to present both sides, equally well, not offending anyone.

  • Ready

The film is pretty much a showcase for what Salman Khan does best-which is fight, dance, charm the girls, and laugh lazily at everyone. An assortment of ugly relatives, even uglier villains and a plot that makes no sense at all. None of it matters.

  • Rann

...the next time Verma decides to unmask the media, he should try doing a little homework. As of now, Rann is a joke, saved only by its fine cast.

  • Rangoon

...comes off as probably 2017's most good-looking and well-made Indian film. Certainly, this year's most ambitious, with three great lead performances. Vishal Bhardwaj is in fine form, mostly.

  • Rang Rasiya

...is not a perfect film and not for everyone but for those who would like to know more about one of the best painters ever, this one will be worth your time.
