  • Rakht Charitra 2

Rakta Charitra 1 had an urgency that kept the narrative moving despite the clumsy voice-over and mind-numbing violence. The sequel has some powerful scenes but lacks cohesion.

  • Rahasya

This is a dark, desperate, sinister, gutsy and gripping thriller which may not tilt you to the edge of the seat. But you do want to know who killed the teenaged girl Ayesha Mahajan.

  • Race 3

...with the lead actor strutting around like a clueless stuntman in the midst of flying bullets and exploding cars, all the high-voltage action is about as exciting as a three-hour-long sitting at the dentist's.

  • Qissa

'Unique' and 'distinctive' are two words that repeatedly spring to mind as the contemplative, splendidly well crafted Qissa unfolds on the screen.

  • Qarib Qarib Singlle

The unhurried rhythm of Qarib Qarib Singlle might put off average filmgoers but if you see value in a film that breaks away from norm and derives strength from understatement rather than flashy storytelling methods, your search ends here.

...is the funniest Bollywood movie I've seen this year. I laughed so hard that my sides hurt. Only I don't think that's the reaction debutant director Kookie V Gulati was aiming for.
