  • Commando 2

...does not explore a novel theme - it's the classic good vs evil - but the high-voltage action makes this an entertaining one for fans of the genre.

  • Kaamyaab

The story of Kaamyaab is infused with emotions, but predictable. Which is why the film feels a bit stretched in places, especially the last scene.

  • Badla

Sharp editing, intense music score and beautiful cinematography work wonders for the film. A strong narrative backed by good performances make Ghosh's Badla a winner.

  • Saala Khadoos

It is largely due to the sheer brilliance of Madhavan and Ritika's work that Saala Khadoos is saved from falling into the abyss of predictability, which it dangerously teeters on the edge of.

  • Bhavesh Joshi Superhero

...is an attempt to propel the individual out of apathy, and asks us to channelise our anger in the right direction. It doesn't succeed entirely, but Motwane's fresh take on the wearied superhero genre is worth a watch.

  • Uri

Keeping the affiliations of Uri the film aside (which is a task in itself), it is a decent film for most parts. The first half is far more gripping than the second. Post intermission, the makers themselves seem over-excited, to the point of losing control of the narrative.
