  • Badla

Sharp editing, intense music score and beautiful cinematography work wonders for the film. A strong narrative backed by good performances make Ghosh's Badla a winner.

  • Simmba

No one does masala films like Rohit Shetty. But when he decides to infuse a moral lecture into the mix, that is where a film falters. Simmba suffers from the same curse.

  • Photograph

It takes a while to warm up to this plaintive world of Batra's and the pacing is a little agonising at points. His ideas are wonderful but his insistence on giving the film an understated touch can leave you rather underwhelmed.

  • Inkaar

This is among Mishra's most perplexing efforts yet. He bravely takes up an unusual subject but seems to chicken out when it comes to giving his story a definite conclusion.

  • Saala Khadoos

It is largely due to the sheer brilliance of Madhavan and Ritika's work that Saala Khadoos is saved from falling into the abyss of predictability, which it dangerously teeters on the edge of.

  • Uri

Keeping the affiliations of Uri the film aside (which is a task in itself), it is a decent film for most parts. The first half is far more gripping than the second. Post intermission, the makers themselves seem over-excited, to the point of losing control of the narrative.

  • Parched

...entertains for most part because the three characters are brought alive by gifted actors whose camaraderie is so natural and performances so compelling that it almost makes you forget the melodramatic story unfolding.

...may use over-dramatised events to make its message hit home, but in spite of its hiccups, the film is not bogged down because of the performances and the humour.

  • Hamid

The scenes between Dugal and Reshi, low on melodrama and high on intensity, are heartbreaking to behold. Bohot hard that you’d need to keep those handkerchiefs ready.
