  • Joker

...is a curious mixture of East and West. The West undoubtedly inspires its cinematic technique, with its aesthetic sense of sepia and Innaritu-esque setup.

  • Jugni

...turns out to be a well done short film padded up to be a feature. But it is still one of those unique efforts in this age of heroes because all the characters are delightfully flawed.

  • Udta Punjab

One of the finest things about Udta Punjab is it doesn't wish to take any form of high ground. All it does is tell the story of four people in a land where drugs are a real problem. It neither glorifies nor offers moral science lessons.

  • Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?

...the screenplay is weak, the basic premise engages to a point, after which you hear yourself echoing Puneet and Munmun’s plea: ‘Atithi tum kab jaoge?’ Because once he leaves you know the film will finally end.

  • Manjhi

The story of Dashrath Manjhi must not be forgotten but let us please also ensure that the cinema that milks the lives of our unsung heroes, also gives something back to the milieu it takes its box office heft from.

  • Simmba

...is a decent enough commercial film when not angling for resonance — with some of the funnier lines really popping on screen — but its self-serious orations on the topical issue of rape make a parody of the whole situation.

  • Simmba

Hrithik Roshan’s 'Kites' may make his fans very happy by the way he has been presented in the film but those looking out for a never seen been before experience that was promised through its mega marketing blitzkrieg will be in for a small disappointment.

  • Pataakha

...has enough combustion to light up a night sky, but it fizzles out like a moist rocket. The crackers, like they say, needed more sunning.
