Khajoor Pe Atke
Critic reviews and ratings
-
...is a funny situational comedy that lacks emotional depth, but delivers belly laughs by the plentiful.
-
Watch the film if you’re in mood for some OTT comedy carrying good performances. You’ll not be disappointed…
-
Underneath the amateurish execution, sentimentality and clichés, lies an enjoyable fare best relished for the comic timing of its actors.
-
There isn’t enough of a plot to extend over 119 minutes. With a tighter script and trimmer running time, Chhaya might have actually been on to something special.
-
...is a half baked satire on the selfish us that only partly exposes the darkness that lurks within every family.
-
Enough fodder for a black comedy? Perhaps, but this one goes a bit overboard, and the practical humour they hoped to conjure seems only too laboured.
-
Despite a promising theme, Khajoor Pe Atke is somewhere lost in translation. Thanks to Manoj and Seema Pahwa’s terrific comic timing, the audience bears to sit through this 120-minute botched up relationship drama.
-
Though the senior actors dive into the material and bring out the humour, random songs, side plots and an emotional vacuity eventually flatline this film.
-
Harsh Chayya may have tried to please all in his first attempt but manages some moments and fine performances, the movie which stars as a quirky, dark comedy ends up as a mishmash of everything and fails to get that emotional connect.
-
There's nothing subtle about this film. There's no dark comedy here. There's only loud acting, ghastly music and comic sounds that deafen you and blind you to the really, really funny bits in the film.
