Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal
Critic reviews and ratings
-
...labours under situations familiar from a zillion Priyadarshan slapsticks.
-
There’s not one situation that’s setup to induce laughs, and the writing is listless, witless, and ultimately humourless.
-
The primary storyline is flawed.

-
Priyadarshan sir, whenever he takes off for village excursions, organises an ensemble troupe which, frankly, blow your brains to smithereens.
-
This one's a dud!
-
...claims to be a "mad copic caper" but fails, in its duration of two and a half hours, to draw out even a single genuine laugh.
-
...a complete dud and devoid of any reason to watch.
-
Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal should show up in the thesaurus look up for incoherent and 'all over the place'.
-
The Kamaal, I guess is Priyadarshan going on the sets with no script in hand. The Dhamaal would be the artistes had on sets not knowing what to expect in the next scene or shot. Malamaal... I don't think anyone will be.
-
...a film that should have been wrapped up quickly and deftly, the qualities that Priyan once had, takes over three excruciating hours.
-
One thing Priyadarshan doesn't do is 'lose the plot' here; simply because there isn't one to begin with. With cliched humour that forces more yawns than laughs; blah-lines; Oddball characters and OTT situations...
-
...almost every single cinematic aspect bears the trademark Priyadarshan stamp. In other words, sloppiness runs wild in the guise of entertainment.
-
The film is a roller-coaster and that’s not a good thing. When you watch a roller-coaster from the ground it appears confusing, overwhelming and unnecessarily meandering and Kamaal, Dhamaal, Malaamal resembles it faithfully.
-
...unbearable mess.
