Commando 3
Critic reviews and ratings
-
The awesome power of Jammwal as an action hero and the brilliance of Devaiah as an actor deserve something much better and refined.
-
With the story and the message that the director intended to convey, it could have been easily wrapped up in a crisp hour and a half, but brevity doesn’t seem to be the strong point here. Only time when you feel adrenaline rush is when bones break and the background score amps up.
-
...Vidyut Jammwal executes his stunts with a superhumanly fast and furious speed in the hope that his antics will take our mind off the asinine plot. Guess what, at times at least, he succeeds...
-
...is a decent action entertainer that works because of the action sequences, social message and some paisa-vasool scenes.
-
The narrative is far-fetched, defies logic and tries to pack in so much that it loses grip and pace at times. The background score attempts to elevate the drama, but is often overbearing.
-
...every time you hope to get immersed in the story, a jarring slip-up drifts your attention.
-
Though Jamwal does the heroic things, like thumping thugs and rescuing fair maidens, it is Devaiah who steals the show in this patchily plotted, predictable actioner.
-
...manages to be both ugly and dull.
-
Watch Aditya Datt's Commando 3 only if you want to to lose your sanity.
-
...is technically glossy and the fight choreography is slick. The writing though is contrived.
-
Here’s yet another shamefully opportunistic film that plays on the bad Muslim-good Muslim divide.
-
...an exhausting watch...
-
...is a celebration of hyper-masculinity and hyper-patriotism. That’s not a good combination – either in cinema or in life.
