Gali Gali Chor Hai
Critic reviews and ratings
-
This movie is Timely, Topical and Terrific!
-
...doesn't live up to its promise.
-
The purpose of a satire is not just to make you laugh, but in using the humour to communicate a more vital and pertinent thought. In that context, Gali Gali Chor Hai is too shallow to qualify as a real satire.
-
...amuses intermittently.
-
The film is refreshingly an earthy satire...
-
...having a relatable plot at hand, Gali Gali Chor Hai, could've worked with a tighter screenplay and better execution.
-
...does have the heart in the right place but gets mired by bad execution.
-
A loud and tacky story with more distractions than the story itself makes a decent idea, with a common man behaving like a common man, ineffective.
-
...such a lame comedy, you end up laughing AT the film.
-
...doesn't say much that hasn't been said before, and it doesn't say it interestingly either. Never smart enough to be described as a satire, it fails ultimately because it's dreadfully dull.
-
You have to bribe the audience to watch the characters getting high on the anti-corruption theme of this film.
-
...may hope to ride the Anna Hazare tide but it does nothing to put a point across and it certainly fails to entertain.
-
This could have been a film with bite to it, given that we are all so exercised these days with corruption and its high-profile fighters and shameless purveyors. But satire is not Bollywood’s thing.
-
...seems not only incomplete in thought but also technically: Basic scene to scene transitions missing, uneven sound.. the film leaves you deeply unsatisfied.
-
Crapola’ on corruption.
-
Half-baked and slipshod, looks terribly dated and very loosely edited.
