India’s Most Wanted
Critic reviews and ratings

It’s commendable how Raj Kumar Gupta doesn’t fall for the staples — needless songs, glamorous female character and jingoism. IMW is an earnest ode to the unsung heroes of our country — a story that deserves to be heard.
-
...is an average fare thanks to its poor writing and direction.
-
Given the compelling material to work with at hand, this could’ve rendered a cracking, edge-of-the-seat watch. But predictable turns and lack of cinematic liberties fail to infuse the film with much-required tension.
-
You walk out of the film with a swelling sense of pride for the country and its brave men. But you can’t help wish the film was intelligently crafted rather than just banking on nationalist fervour.
-
The movie does have a good story, but unfortunately, its full potential has not been mined.
-
...suffers from a sluggish pace, which is quite detrimental for a film of this genre. It is a crime thriller. The film needed to have been knit a lot better.
-
If you’re in the mood for a documentary-styled ‘real’ film, you may find something to take back from here. Having said that, in this case, the intention can be lauded, but definitely not the execution.
-
We don’t know who these officers were, and how many lives were saved because of their bravado. But, what’s the probability that despite Indian cinema churning out such films regularly, we won’t quite remember these sacrifices? High, sir.
-
All this film needed to be was smart. It is thorough — there is much waiting around and scrutiny of agents and potential double-agents — but for a film about intelligence, this isn’t particularly bright.
-
This 123 minutes of a ‘sleep pill’ in the name of espionage thrill is completely forgettable
-
The overheated and undercooked film doesn’t have enough substance to justify its flourishes.
-
Frankly, nothing really happens for you to care enough. And the movie at two hours plus simply appears an hour too long. Ah! Felt like an empty shell -- well, to me, anyway.
-
Things move slowly for a thriller and not in a way that gets you concerned for your team. Doesn’t help that the slow story is dragged further with slow-motion!
-
...the overall result is more a placid seen-it-before run-around than the edge-of-the-seat nail biter that it promises to be.
-
If the argument is in favour of providing a thrilling experience, the film doesn’t deliver in that department either. There is restraint and there’s boredom — this one falls under the latter.
-
This is a reasonably watchable film that, unfortunately, goes off the radar every now and then.
-
It's unbearable, this dullness. You'll find more action in a grocery shop's CCTV footage than in all of India's Most Wanted.
