Isi Life Mein
Critic reviews and ratings
-
A misfit in the 00's despite being relevant, Isi Life Mein is as much an irony as it is a shame.
-
...a mediocre effort...
-
...the film unfolds as one long play rehearsal and doesn't seem to move forward after a point. The relationship between the big city boy and the small town girl is confined to an exchange of smiles and smiles and some more smiles: too many cold exchanges between the two debutants.
-
It's hard to relate to the film's impossible idealism or it's one-dimensional leads.
-
One wishes that Vidhi had attempted something original in her first film because she does get it right at many points but fails every time she goes back to the formula.
-
A very amateurish attempt, which comes at least 15 years late!
-
The movie has its own highpoints but it's pretty much like watching Balika Vadhu for two hours.
-
For a production house that’s been struggling with irrelevance ( it's last one on 'prem vivah' sank), 'Isi Life Mein' is not the way to go.
-
Like most Rajshri films, the characters here are saccharine sweet. In fact, they are too good to be true and that, in my opinion, looks fake. Technically, it's a decent attempt, but content-wise, like I said, there is no plot at all.
-
Conflict of any kind; emotional, romantic or even fundamental is absent completely. There's so much of pristine goodness that it becomes unreal, almost surreal.
-
The kind of quasi progressiveness the film puts forward, has now been appropriated by television, so the film is like watching a TV serial on big screen.
-
'Cool' is an oft abused, dangerous word. 'Wannabe' usually follows it like a shadow. You have to be careful. The makers of this movie evidently aren't.
-
...is poorly written, badly acted and very amateurishly directed, with terrible music to boot.
