Julie 2
Critic reviews and ratings
-
Even though the story is set in current times, the narrative plays out like a 90s masala flick. The dialogues must have been written to induce wolf-whistles but are cringeworthy to say the least.
-
Modestly-budgeted sleazy fests of the kind rarely invest in story and plot and get right down to delivering the goods. Julie 2 shatters this notion and packs in so much plot, it will make your brains rot.
-
...is a senseless saga and has very few sizzling scenes.
-
At no point does Julie 2 rise above being a B-grade flick whose mentality is stuck in the 1990s.
-
Stay away.
-
Do yourselves a favour, give Julie 2 a miss.
-
...bizarre and pointless follow up narrow mindedly aimed to make just a money spinning franchise.
-
...seems too shy to even titillate. Julie 2, in fact, is too shy to be anything. A piece of cinema. An absorbing story of an actress.
-
Sadly, poor acting by the lead actress lets it sink to insufferable heights.
-
The film has no plot. The film makes no sense.

In between bizarre and shocking, Raai Laxmi keeps gyrating in body-hugging suits and shiny bikinis. She also dances on a song titled ‘Malasina (or Mala Sinha!) Dikhayegi Filmy Dance’. She oohs and aahs, even unhooks her bra twice or thrice, to make it work, but all in vain.
