Pagalpanti
Critic reviews and ratings
-
...is a mood fresher, a crazy fun ride that makes you smile and that’s what is needed nowadays.
-
...fails to raise the desired amount of laughs due to lazy writing and recycled jokes. This movie is strictly for the audience who love brainless entertainers.
-
Even with an enviable starcast and heavy-duty action, Pagalpanti never really manages to pull off more than a few laughs.
-
Watch the Pagalpanti only if you have taken a vow never to miss every brainless comedy that gets released...
-
Much like the graphic PSAs warning us about the consumption of tobacco, this film needs to be flagged as injurious to the brain.
-
Actors participating in such comedies usually say in interviews and write on social media how their films are not for critics and request the audiences to leave their brains at home. I did exactly that, didn't apply any logic or brain, all I desired was laughter... where's that? Whom should I talk to now?
-
...is sporadically entertaining, but for the most part it feels stale and ordinary.
-
...pedestrian writing and severe shortage of engaging characters and imaginative gags.
-
...Pagalpanti's script is stuff of pre-schooler dreams. The performances, too, are better suited for a school play.
-
...does deliver something akin to the madhouse that it promises but its loony-bin approach to hilarity is too dated to be effective.
-
Let me save you some time. Please don’t even read the review.
-
...is so soul-sucking and brain-dead that it makes Bazmee’s last film Mubarakan look like high art.
-
...appears to be a collection of improvised scenes rather than a film made from a real script. The performances are wooden, dialogues stilted and regressive, and the story – well, there isn’t one. This one is best avoided.
-
...soporific scenes with dollops of childish ridiculousness...
-
...this could have become a fairly decent satire. But that’s like asking for the moon and wishing Anees Bazmee was Kundan Shah.
-
There’s nothing lazier than a film pleading insanity at the get-go, barely bothering to make sense of the chaos. Madness, more often than not, leads to intriguing art. It rarely shelters imposters.
-
Some good actors have lent their names to this mess, for what can’t be any reason other than money and the hits somehow against Bazmee’s name. So let’s not go around passing blame.
