...is revival of good old Hindi cinema. As Mumbai goes rewind, you look forward to a dynamic and gripping entertainer.
-
...a must watch for its enthralling story, exceptional performances and superb dialogues.
-
The towering performances of Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi and superb direction of Milan Luthria are the ingredients that will help the flick rock at the box office.
-
The film is overwritten, over acted, overcharged but also super fun.
-
...is worth the price of your ticket and more. It's a film that almost gets everything right. Highly Recommended.
-
...the director’s command over the language of outlawry is unquestionable.
-
The subject is immediately exhilarating still. As is this film.
-
...riveting story and performances...
-
Once Upon… seeks to entertain – it does so resoundingly well; it seeks to establish parallels with real life characters and events as well as to create a period ambience of the 70’s – this part is executed with mixed success. Though when it comes to its third ambition – that of texturing it with a moral debate – what comes across is a half-hearted attempt and failure.
-
...close to being an up-to-the-mark gangster flick, so it certainly commands a watch, for the setting and performances, if nothing else.
-
...he film is worth a watch, especially if you like flamboyant gangster films.
-
...has serious personality issues. It wants to please all sections of the audience and therein lies the snitch. Despite some fantastic screen moments, memorable punchlines and visuals, the film doesn’t really serve its purpose.
-
The film is watchable and enjoyable in parts even, but it doesn't quite pull off the retro chic tone it was going for.
-
Watch Once Upon A Time In Mumbai for the love of Bombay, Ajay Devgan, an entertaining story and don't expect to blown away.
-
...has a sharp beginning, a sagging middle and an inconclusive end that promises a sequel.
-
Once Upon a Time Waste.. in Mumbai.
-
Milan Luthria...starts off well, and carries on as he means to, but then falls into the trap of the familiar.
-
...there is not enough dramatic tension which underlined the narratives of the ’70s and ’80s, no real big scenes to remember forever.
