Jism – 2
Critic reviews and ratings
-
...is a sexy movie - but it's not as dirty a picture as you might expect.
-
This film is designed to be Sunny Leone’s ticket to a place in the Bollywood sun, but it isn’t quite love-all in her favour. Yet, Jism 2 has enough soul not be swamped by a curvaceous body. It is more than just another 'booby' trap of a film.
-
...has Sunny Leone as its USP, but the lackluster screenplay and the sluggish pace act as deterrents.
-
The uneven story and script notwithstanding, you could still catch Jism 2 since there’s no guarantee it’ll ever find its way to your television screen.
-
...has been billed as an erotic thriller. Sift through the Sunny hype, and the film is neither erotic nor thrilling.
-
...should have been way more fun than this. The film is an anti-climactic let-down.
-
...a slow, oversimplified and boring film with minimal action (of either kind).
-
If you went in prepared for a ham fest garnished with soft porn, you might actually enjoy this movie.
-
...despite a cliched storyline could've worked wonders had it been written intelligently and executed with finesse. In its present state it comes across as a disappointing fare.
-
It's like Sunny Leone's assets are the script, screenplay and sole purpose of Jism 2 and everyone outside that -- Hooda, Singh, Zakaria or the audience -- is obliged to wag their tongues with thrill. Well, duh, for thinking otherwise.
-
...a crashing disappointment.
-
It's curious how an "erotic thriller" can turn out to be this bland.
-
If you’re looking for a good story and a well made film, this isn’t the right choice for you.
-
...there is not even a modicum of logic in this plot.
-
Sunny Leone is sexy alright, but this film is about as erotic as a Disney animation feature.
-
Limp, flaccid, lifeless … I can think of a number of adjectives to describe this yawn-worthy film.
-
Calling a film promoted as an adult film ‘juvenile’ is an oxymoron but that is the kind of wordplay Bollywood has reduced us to. Pooja Bhatt’s much-publicised for its adult content, meant only for mature audiences, seemingly ambitious film Jism-2 unfortunately brings only such adjectives to mind.
-
...does nothing to you. It has no material to invoke any kind of emotion from you. Except maybe for a few unintentional laughs.
-
...is poor in every aspect of film-making—and there’s not much sex in it either.
-
It takes a special kind of skill to make a film as harebrained as Jism 2. To say that its script is ridden with plot holes is an understatement; the plot itself is like a big, black hole there is no coming out of.
-
...is just two perky boobs with an idiotic, flimsy story woven around them.
-
Going by the promos, we were hoping for India’s answer to Basic Instinct. What we got is something that provides lots of unintentional laughter and nothing more -- not even cheap thrills...
-
This is the kind of film many will go to watch no matter how bad we say it is simply because this is the closest they get to see an adult star take her clothes off on the big screen in India.
-
Pooja Bhatt has actually managed something remarkable. She has taken a subject with a love triangle, the threat of terrorism, guns, bloodshed, double crosses, spy operations and an adult-film star and rendered it utterly boring.
-
Big wind, loud thunder, no rain. 'Jism too' is all that and much less! Just having 'assets' thrust at the viewer from posters and a scantily clad woman on hoardings is not going to make a movie.
